Fee Schedule

Trade Safe Transfers has worked hard to make a secure system at minimal cost for both the consumer and the tradesperson. The applicable fees are outlined below:

1. A 2% fee will apply to both the consumer and the tradesperson

The consumer

For the consumer, 2% is added to the total cost of the job.

For example, 2% will be added to a $20,000 job, meaning the total cost of the job for the consumer becomes $20,400.

The tradesperson:

For the tradesperson, 2% is removed from the original total amount.

For example, 2% will be removed from the $20,000 payment, meaning the tradesperson gets paid $19,600 for their work.

2. Milestone Fees

Upon the completion of each milestone, a $30 service fee is deducted from the initial milestone amount paid by the consumer. The tradesperson will receive the milestone payment with the fee automatically applied.

For example, if the milestone amount paid by the consumer is $1,000, $30 will automatically be deducted and the tradesperson will receive $970 upon completion.

How many milestones can I set?

Every job on Trade Safe Transfers must be at least $50. The number of milestones you can set depends on the total job value. The larger the job, the more milestones can be used to break the work up:

Milestones are optional. With the tradie and consumer agreeing, a job can also be released as a single payment on completion.

Note: milestones are for splitting a job into completed stages of work. They are not intended as a way to take a deposit before work begins.

3. There are no fees for completed payments.

The fees will be applied automatically when a job is registered in the Trade Safe Transfers app.

Transaction Fees

Trade Safe Transfer's credit/debit card fees are transparent, kept to a minimum and structured in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws. These fees are in line with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) regulations.
